During the summer I was in London for a friend's 30th birthday party so I took the change to go back to the National Gallery and the National portrait gallery. The BP Portrait awards were being held at the time in the portrait gallery so I really wanted to check out what was happening in contemporary portraiture.
I left the show thinking 'what am I doing?'
Some of the work was amazing, I don't generally go for photorealism in a major way but the skill level required is obviously incredible.
